Social media is abuzz today about Robbie Tripp, a man who posted about loving his wife's curves on Instagram and suddenly attracted a bizarre amount of attention for doing so. In an act bolder than posting a no-makeup selfie, Tripp captioned a photo earlier this week of his wife and himself on a beach. He accompanied the picture with a long caption describing his experience being bullied for liking "girls on the thicker side," then proceeded to high-five himself for finding his life partner attractive while instructing other men on which women they should or should not find attractive, too.
Jesus, Jes, I really really like this. If there's anything I can add, it would be that nobody likes how they look in photos - at first. Photographs are the easiest way to take account of all of our physical "flaws" in one go; and those perceived flaws are different in all of us.

Curvy, a little extra weight, voluptuous are sexy. Chubby and skinny I'm not particularly attracted to. UK sizes are nice sizes.

When it comes to attributes women tend to find attractive in men, tall dark and handsome are almost always up there at the top of the list. And, with the way we date becoming more like the way we shop for groceries, the expectation for perfection in a potential partner is becoming increasingly non-negotiable. Because if we all aimed for what society said we should look like the world would be one big episode of TOWIE. They have more important things to think about than whether their abs are ripped enough in time for their holiday in Ibiza.
Husky men often transition into chubby husbands and fat fathers, mostly because women tend to be more forgiving about dating fat guys in general. This study found that skinny politicians are less trustworthy too, compared to their fatter counterparts. These findings make a case for why the Democratic presidential candidates should eat more carbs, and for why women might be into big guys.
My first boyfriend, at age 14, called me pleasantly plump. He'd always hug me and say, "There's just more to love on you. Because of my insecurity, I would eat and try to reach self-love through satisfaction in food. I never reached satisfaction though, and the pounds just piled on and kept a protective layer between me and the rest of the world.
